About
Making business technology decisions, make sense.
I help decision makers align strategy with technology without becoming technologists. I close the gap between what matters and what you can start doing tomorrow to get you closer to your organizational goals.
I started as a software engineer. I studied computing and spent my early years writing software and building the systems that run behind the screen.
I have spent a decade in enterprise technology at Microsoft and IBM across East and Southern Africa, then another decade as an entrepreneur and facilitator supporting hundreds of entrepreneurs in Sub-Saharan Africa with building and scaling their ventures.
Before Microsoft, I was at Airtel’s Zambia operation working as a technology product and project manager on telecom infrastructure, value added services and mobile payments. I shipped over 50 products to over 3 million subscribers during my time at Zain and Airtel.
I am currently serving as Entrepreneur in Residence at Dordt University and the KKDC Entrepreneurship Center, where I teach Entrepreneurship, Innovation and Creative Thinking, and Business Applications of AI. My AI course puts non-technical business majors in front of real industry problems and asks them to build working solutions. Nobody in the room has a computer science background. The barrier to using AI well was never technical ability. It was the absence of a structured way to think about the problem.
Teaching has forced me to take everything I have learned and turn it into repeatable systems that work for people who don’t share his background.
I have taught and coached hundreds of entrepreneurs through programs via Bongo Hive Innovations with the UNDP, UNCDF, Standard Chartered Bank, the World Bank and the Finnish Government.
