Mark Mondoka is an Entrepreneur in Residence at Dordt University, where he supports the Entrepreneurship Center and also teaches Entrepreneurship, Innovation and Creative Thinking, and Business Applications of AI.
Mark spent a decade building practical frameworks at the intersection of enterprise technology, startup growth, and business education. He has applied these supporting over a hundred entrepreneurs at Dordt University and through his work supporting startup acceleration programs for Standard Chartered Bank’s Women In Tech Cohorts 1 to 4, United Nations Development Programme – Meet the Tôshikas Programme, the United Nations Capital Development Fund Fintech4U, the World Bank’s Agribusiness Bootcamp Programme now known as MarketConnect via Bongo Hive Innovation and Technology Hub.
Previously, Mark was a Technical Account Manager at Microsoft, supporting the services division across four countries in East and Southern Africa where he grew his services portfolio accounts. Before that, he managed IT service management at IBM Zambia operation supporting Airtel’s telecommunications operations and led transformational technology projects for Airtel Zambia such as EMC data center project, Oracle Financials ERP deployment, 3G deployment, Airtel OneNetwork and, the deployment and launch of its mobile payments system known today as Airtel Money. He is also the founder of an innovation lab called VENIVI that built intranets for banks and helped launch products/services/ideas like SuperVegFarms, LSCON, Zaplaces and Goolisa.
He now combines that enterprise and startup experience with his teaching helping executives, founders, and students build the decision frameworks and organizational strategies they need to grow and scale with confidence. His approach is rooted in what actually works inside resource-constrained environments, not what looks good on a conference slide.
He is a TEDx speaker, a SANS Institute presenter on cybersecurity in Sub-Saharan Africa, and has served as Director of Impact One Initiative, a non-profit supporting faith-based early childhood development in Zambia.
